In order to further strengthen future Nordic collaborations in cancer research, the symposium will offer a Young Scientists’ Workshop aimed specifically to the leading cancer researchers of tomorrow. This workshop will take place at Schæffergården on September 3-4, 2013.The intention of the workshop is to join promising young scientists from different fields of oncology to interact with internationally recognised scientists within the same research areas.
The primary aim of the workshop is to create a forum for in-depth scientific interactions in small groups according to specific research interests, ultimately resulting in jointly authored review papers within predefined research themes, spanning the broad spectrum of sciences related to oncology.
The workshop will also include presentations of the young scientists’ primary research and educational sessions on the writing of scientific publications, giving advice relative to both original contributions and review papers.
The workshop is open for a limited number of young scientists, preferably with base in one of the Nordic countries. PhD students and post docs are encouraged to apply. Attendance will be granted on the basis of scientific merits and experience within the scientific area of the review paper applied for.
The workshop will be free of charge for the selected participants (free registration and accommodation), but participants will have to arrange their own travel.
Please visit http://www.cancer.dk/actaoncologica50/young+scientists+workshop/ for details on research themes of the review papers and information about your application.
Workshop participants are strongly encouraged to register for the Acta Oncologica 50th Anniversary Symposium.
